There are many sites available on the internet to learn about Chinese medicine. I have listed sites that offer professional, accurate information about the practice and profession of Chinese medicine. Almost all of these sites have practitioner search systems. I recommend the NCCAOM website as the best resource for this purpose.  The Division of Consumer Affairs website is the best place to verify a valid NJ license.
